In 2014 South Africa is celebrating 20 years after apartheid, this since 27th April 1994, the “Freedom Day” at which the first free votes led to a new democratic government presided by Nelson Mandela. In tribute to Mandela and to other personalities who fought for freedom and equality the exhibition will present 27 artistic portraits in black and white. The exhibition will be accompanied by detailed background information on these personalities.
